Kindness to Parents.....

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah Bani Israel verses 23-24:
Your Lord has enjoined the following: You should not worship anyone but Him Alone! Treat your parents with great kindness ; if either or both of them attain old age, do not even say 'uff' to them; nor rebuke them; but speak to them kind words. Treat them with humility and tenderness and pray, "O our Lord, be merciful to them, just as they brought me up with kindness and affection in my childhood."

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 31 Surah Luqman verse 14:
14. And We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents : in travail upon travail did his mother bear him and in years twain was his weaning: (hear the command) "Show gratitude to Me and to thy parents: to Me is (thy final) Goal.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 46 Surah Ahqaaf verses 15-17:
15. We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents: in pain did his mother bear him and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is (a period of) thirty months. At length when he reaches the age of full strength and attains forty years he says "O my Lord! grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favor which Thou hast bestowed upon me and upon both my parents and that I may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam."
16. Such are they from whom We shall accept the best of their deeds and pass by their ill deeds: (they shall be) among the Companions of the Garden: a promise of truth which was made to them (in this life).
17. But (there is one) who says to his parents "Fie on you! Do ye hold out the promise to me that I shall be raised up even though generations have passed before me (without rising again)? " And they two seek Allah`s aid (and rebuke the son): "Woe to thee! Have Faith! For the promise of Allah is True." But he says "This is nothing but tales of the ancients!"

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 151:
151 Say: "Come I will rehearse what Allah hath (really) prohibited you from": join not anything as equal with Him; be good to your parents: kill not your children on a plea of want; We provide sustenance for you and for them; come not nigh to shameful deeds whether open or secret; take not life which Allah hath made sacred except by way of justice and law: thus doth He command you that ye may learn wisdom.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verse 36:
36 Serve Allah and join not any partners with Him: and do good to parents kinsfolk orphans those in need neighbors who are near neighbors who are strangers the companion by your side the way-farer (ye meet) and what your right hands possess: for Allah loveth not the arrogant the vainglorious;

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 215:
215 They ask thee what they should spend (in charity). Say: ' Whatever ye spend that is good is for parents and kindred and orphans and those in want and for wayfarers. And whatever ye do that is good Allah knoweth it well.'

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 4941 Narrated by Abu Umamah
A man said, "O Messenger of Allah (saws), what rights can parents demand from their children?" He (saws) replied, "They are (or your relation with them will determine) your Paradise or your Hell."

Sahih Muslim Hadith 6189 Narrated by Abu Hurayrah
Allah`s Messenger (saws) said: 'Let him be humbled into dust! Let him be humbled into dust!' It was said: 'O Allah`s Messenger (saws), who is he?' He (saws) said: 'He who sees either of his parents during their old age or he sees both of them, but he does not enter Paradise (through his deeds of service towards them)!'

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 5120 Narrated by Mu`awiyah ibn Hayadah
I asked: 'O Messenger of Allah(saws)! To whom should I show kindness most?' He (saws) replied: 'Your mother.' I asked (again): 'Who next?'. He (saws) replied: 'Your mother!'. I asked: 'Who next?' He (saws) replied: 'Your mother!' I asked again: 'Who next?' and he (saws) replied: 'Your father, and then your relatives in order of relationship. '

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 4939 Narrated by Mu`awiyah ibn Jahimah
Jahimah came to the Prophet (saws) and said, "Messenger of Allah (saws), I desire to go on a military expedition and I have come to consult you. He (saws) asked him if he had a mother, and when he replied that he had, he (saws) said, "Stay with her, for Paradise is at her feet."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.18 Narrated by Aisha
The Prophet (saws) said: "The word `Ar-Rahm` (womb) derives its name from `Ar-Rahman` (i.e. Allah). So whosoever keeps good relations with it (womb i.e. kith and kin), Allah will keep good relations with him, and whosoever will sever it (i.e. severs his bonds of kith and kin) Allah too will sever His relations with him!"

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 3.821 Narrated by Anas
The Prophet (saws) was asked about the 'Kabair' (the absolute gravest sins in the Sight of Allah). He (saws) replied: "They are:--
1.       To join others in worship with Allah,
2.      To be undutiful to one`s parents,
3.       To kill a person (which Allah has forbidden to kill) (i.e. to commit the crime of murder),
4.       And to give a false witness."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.290 Narrated by Abu Bakra
Allah`s Messenger (saws) said, "Shall I inform you of the biggest of the Great Sins?" They said, "Yes, O Allah`s Messenger (saws)!" He (saws) said, "To join partners in worship with Allah, and to be undutiful to one`s parents."

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 3653 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr
The Prophet (saws) said, "An undutiful son, a gambler, one who casts up what he has given, and one who is addicted to wine will not enter Paradise ."

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 3655 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Umar
Allah`s Messenger (saws) said, "There are three people to whom Allah has forbidden Paradise : one who is addicted to wine, an undutiful son, and a cuckold who agrees to his womenfolk`s adultery."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 1.505 Narrated by Abdullah
I asked the Prophet (saws): "Which deed is the dearest to Allah?" He (saws) replied, "To offer the prayers at their early stated fixed times." I asked, "What is the next (in goodness)?" He (saws) replied, "To be good and dutiful to your parents." I again asked, "What is the next (in goodness)?" He (saws) replied, "To participate in Jihad (religious fighting) in Allah`s cause." `Abdullah added, "I asked only that much and if I had asked more, the Prophet (saws) would have told me more."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.4 Narrated by Abdullah bin Amr
Allah`s Messenger (saws) said. "It is one of the greatest sins that a man should curse his parents ."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 9.9 Narrated by Abdullah bin Amr
The Prophet said, "Al-Kaba`ir (the biggest sins) are: "To join others (as partners) in worship with Allah, to be undutiful to one`s parents,and to take a false oath."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 4.248 Narrated byAbdullah bin Amr
A man came to the Prophet asking his permission to take part in Jihad. The Prophet asked him, "Are your parents alive?" He replied in the affirmative. The Prophet said to him, "Then exert yourself in their service."

The Qualities Of A Believer...

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 23 Surah Muminoon verses 1-11:

1 The Believers must (eventually) win through

2 Those who humble themselves in their prayers;

3 Who avoid vain talk;

4 Who are active in deeds of charity;

5 Who scrupulously guard their modesty (private parts),

6 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess; for (in their case) they are free from blame.

7 But those whose desires exceed those limits, are transgressors!

8 Those who faithfully observe their trust and their covenants;

9 And who (strictly) guard their prayers

10 Those will be the heirs

11 Who will inherit Paradise : they will dwell therein (forever).

Aap Ke Jaisa Dunya Me Koi Ho Nahi Sakta

Aap Ke Jaisa Dunya Me Koi Ho Nahi Sakta,
Dunya Me Apki Barabari Koi Kar Nahi Sakta,

Hai Aap ALLAH Ke Sab Se Pyaare, Hamare Rasool...

Jeena Ka Tareekha Aap Har Tarah Se Bata Kar Gaye,
ALLAH Ne Jo Kaha Woh Har Tareeqe Se Sikha Kar Gaye,
Kabhi Kabhi Aankh Se Aansu Hamare Aahi Jaate Hai,
Jab Kabhi Aapki Baatao Se Log Uhi Mukhar Jaate Hai...

Aapne Humse Kahaa Ke ALLAH Ek Hai, Sajda Karo,
Kuch Log Nahi Samjhe Aur Kaha Ke Sifarish Karo,
Jab ALLAH Ne Hi Kaha Ke Woh Hum Se Qareeb Hai,
Dunya Aaj Kal Iman Me Kuch Ziyadah Gareeb Hai...

Aap Ne Kaha Dard Ki Halat Me Bhi ALLAH Ko Yaad Karo,
Log Kehte Hai Ke Nazar Ka Toka Hai, Nimbo Waara Karo,
Jab ALLAH Kabhi Logo Ke Sabr Ka Imtehaan Leta Hai,
Woh kisi aur Ka Daman Tham Leta Hai...

All I have is Allah, All I need is Allah

Oh Allah, I have no money, but I have You. I am rich.
Oh Allah, I have no freedom, but I believe in You. I am free.
Oh Allah, I have no patience, but I read Your Quran. I am calm.
Oh Allah, I get no respect, but You listen to my dua. I am proud.
Oh Allah, I have no time, but I think of Jannah. I have forever.
Oh Allah, I have much time, but I look at Your Signs. I have today.
Oh Allah, I feel so weak, but I fast Ramadan. I am strong.
Oh Allah, I feel so tired, but I make dua. I open my eyes.
Oh Allah, I feel so dirty, but I repent to You. I am cleansed.
Oh Allah, I feel so depressed, but I remember you. I am at peace.
Oh Allah, I feel so lost, but I follow Your Commands. I am safe.
Oh Allah, nobody listens, but You never turn your back on me. I am grateful.
Oh Allah, my heart breaks, but I imagine meeting You. My heart finds rest.
Oh Allah, I cry every night, but I make wudu. I wash away my tears.
Oh Allah, I feel so alone, but I pray to You. I have everything.
Oh Allah, I feel so dead, but I think about Hajj. My heart beats again.
Oh Allah, I don't want this life, and I will die for You, only to live forever.

All I have is Allah,
All I need is Allah.

What if Allah couldn't take the time to bless us today

What if *Allah *couldn't take the time to bless us today because we
couldn't take the time to thank Him yesterday?
What if *Allah *decided to stop leading us
tomorrow because we didn't follow Him today?
What if we never saw another flower bloom
because we grumbled when *Allah *sent the Rain?
What if *Allah* didn't walk with us today because we
failed to recognize it as His day?
What if, *Allah* took away the Quraan tomorrow because
we would not recite it today?
What if, *Allah *took away His message because we failed
to listen to the messenger?
THINK ABOUT THIS ONE.........
What if, the door of the Quraan was closed because
we did not open the door of our heart?
What if, *Allah *stopped loving and caring for us
because we failed to love and care for others?
What if, *Allah* would not hear us today because we
would not listen to Him?
What if, *Allah *answered our prayers the way we answer
His call to Salaah?
What if, *Allah* met our needs the way we give Him our lives???
What if, We failed to send this message on??
THIS IS A SIMPLE TEST.......
With love and patience, everything is possible.

nEVER cURSE oTHERS

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "It does not befit a Siddiq (righteous Muslim) to frequently curse others.'' [Muslim]

Commentary: Taunts, curses and abusive language are contrary to perfect Faith and fidelity.

And those who do not witness falsehood, and if they pass by some evil play or evil talk, they pass by it with dignity. Ch.25 : V.72

Bukhari :: Book 9 :: Volume 88 :: Hadith 244

Narrated Hudhaifa:

The Prophet said about Ad-Dajjal that he would have water and fire with him: (what would seem to be) fire, would be cold water and (what would seem to be) water, would be fire.

Bukhari :: Book 9 :: Volume 88 :: Hadith 245

Narrated Anas:

The Prophet said, "No prophet was sent but that he warned his followers against the one-eyed liar (Ad-Dajjal). Beware! He is blind in one eye, and your Lord is not so, and there will be written between his (Ad-Dajjal's) eyes (the word) Kafir (i.e., disbeliever)." (This Hadith is also quoted by Abu Huraira and Ibn 'Abbas)

 Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, "When any Muslim accuses another Muslim of sin or of disbelief, the reproach rebounds upon the one who utters it, if the other person is not deserving of it.''[Al-Bukhari].

Commentary: What this Hadith stresses is that one should never say about a Muslim that he is sinful (Fasiq) or disbeliever (Kafir) when he is not so. The reason is that in that case, one who says it, will be held Fasiq or Kafir. One should, therefore, strictly refrain from uttering such statements.

Good company

One companion asked Rasulullah (saw), “Who can be my best friend?”

Rasulullah (saw) answered, “Your best friend is a person:

*when you see him, he makes you remember Allah ;

*when you listen to him, knowledge of Islam is increased; and

*when you see his actions, you are reminded of the life of the Hereafter .”

Rasulullah (saw) taught his companions by saying, “Shall I tell you a thing by which you can obtain good in this world and the Hereafter ?”

*Be with the assemblies of those who remember Allah (swt).

*Be busy in remembrance of Allah (swt) when you are alone.

*Be in the gatherings wherein knowledge of Islam and Qur’an is taught.

*Be with those whose love is for the sake of Allah (swt).

*Be with those whose dislike is for the sake of Allah (swt).

Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) said: “The example of a good companion and a bad companion is like that of the seller of musk, and the one who blows the blacksmith’s bellows. So as for the seller of musk then either he will grant you some, or you buy some from him, or at least you enjoy a pleasant smell from him. As for the one who blows the blacksmith’s bellows then either he will burn your clothes or you will get an offensive smell from him.”

(Bukhari and Muslim)

“Keeping good company with the pious results in attainment of beneficial knowledge, noble manners and righteous actions, whereas keeping company with the wicked prevents all of that.”

-saying of a scholar

Allah , the All-Wise also says: “Friends on that Day will be enemies one to another, except al-Muttaqoon (i.e. those who have Taqwah).” [43:67]

Hafidh Ibn Katheer, commenting on this verse, relates a story on the authority of Ali Ibn Abi Talib (r.a.a.) and says that any friendship for other than Allah is turned into enmity, except what was in it for Allah the Mighty and Majestic: Two who are friends for Allah ’s sake; one of them dies and is given good news that he will be granted al-Jannah, so he remembered his friend and he supplicated for him, saying: O Allah , my friend used to command me to obey You and to obey Your Prophet (s.a.w.) and used to command me to do good and to forbid me from doing evil. And he told me that I will meet You. O Allah , do not let him go astray after me, until you show him what you have just shown me, until You are satisfied with him, just like You are satisfied with me.” So he is told: “Had you known what is (written) for you friend, would you have laughed a lot and cried a little.” Then his friend dies and their souls are gathered, and both are asked to express their opinions about each other. So each one of them says to his friend: you were the best brother, the best companion and the best friend.” And when on of the two disbelieving friends dies, and he is given tidings of Hellfire, he remembered his friend and he said: O Allah , my friend used to order me to disobey You and disobey Your Prophet, and commanded me to do evil, and forbade me from doing good, and told me that I would not meet You. O Allah , do not guide him after me, until you show him what you have just shown me and until you are dissatisfied with him just like You are dissatisfied with me.” Then the other disbelieving friend dies, and their souls are gathered, and both are asked to give their opinions about each other. So each one says to his friend:
you were the worst brother, the worst companion and the worst friend.”

Abu Bakr (R) and Ali (R) were walking towrds each other one day. They passed by each other and neither greeted the other. In arabic culture it is customary for the younger to greet the elder. Later that day Abu Bakr(R) saw Ali (R) and asked him, ”

Are you upset with me?” becaues he had not greeted him. ALi (R) replied, “No, but last night i had a dream. In the dream i saw a beautiful palace in paradise. I asked who’s palace it was and an angel told me it is for the brother who greets the other first.

I was waiting for you to greet me because i wanted you to have the palace.” Abu Bakr then told him, “LAst night i had the same dream too. I was waiting for you to greet me because i also wanted you to have the palace.”
This is an incredible display of love for a fellow muslim.

Wanting something for a brother/sister before u want it for yourself is a sign of very strong faith. Inshallah Allah (SWT) will give us this kind of strength so we can become like them.

Bad Temper

There once was a little boy who had a bad  temper.  His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.
The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down.
He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.
Finally the ! day came when the boy didn't ose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he  was able to hold his temper.
The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails are gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same.
When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one.  You can put a  knife in a man and draw it out.
It won't matter how many times you say "I'm sorry", the wound is still there.  A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.
Please forgive me if I have ever left a hole.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"No one has swallowed back anything more excellent in the sight of Allah, Who is Great and Glorious, than anger he restrains, seeking to please Allah, The Most High."
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 5116  Narrated by Abdullah ibn Umar

A Beautiful Hadith

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihe wasallam) said: 'When a man dies and his relatives are busy in funeral, there stands an extremely handsome man by his head. When the dead body is shrouded, that man gets in between the shroud and the chest of the deceased.

When after the burial, the people return home, 2 angels, Munkar and Nakeer(names of two special Angels), come in the grave and try to separate this handsome man so that they may be able to interrogate the dead man in privacy about his faith. But the handsome man says, 'He is my companion, he is my friend. I will not  leave him alone in any case. If you are appointed for interrogation, do your job. I cannot leave him until I get him admitted into Paradise '.

Thereafter he turns to his dead companion and says, 'I am the Qur'an, which you used to read, sometimes in a loud voice and sometimes in a low voice. Do not worry. After the interrogation of Munkar and Naker, you will have no grief.'

When the interrogation is over, the handsome man arranges for him from Al-Mala'ul A'laa (the angels in Heaven) silk bedding filled wish musk.

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihe wasallam) said: 'On the Day of Judgement, before Allah, no other Intercessor will have a greater status than the Qur'an, neither a Prophet nor an angel.

Eid al-Adha

Eid al-Adha (Arabic: عيد الأضحى‘Īdu l-’Aḍḥā) or "Festival of Sacrifice" or "Greater Eid" is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice his son Ishmael (Isma'il) as an act of obedience to God, before God intervened to provide him with a ram to sacrifice instead. The meat is divided into three parts to be distributed to others. The family retains one third of the share, another third is given to relatives, friends and neighbors, and the other third is given to the poor & needy.
Eid al-Adha is the latter of two Eid festivals celebrated by Muslims, whose basis comes from Sura 2 (Al-Baqara) Ayah 196 in the Qur'an. Like Eid ul-Fitr, Eid al-Adha begins with a Wajib prayer of two Raka'ah (units) followed by a sermon (khuṭbah).
The word "Eid" appears in Sura al-Mai'da ("The Table Spread," Chapter 5) of the Qur'an, meaning 'solemn festival'.
Eid al-Adha is celebrated annually on the 10th day of the 12th and the last Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah (ذو الحجة) of the lunar Islamic calendar.Eid al-Adha celebrations start after the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide, descend from Mount Arafat. The date is approximately 70 days (2 Months & 10 days) after the end of the month of Ramadan, i.e. Eid-ul-Fitr. Ritual observance of the holiday lasts until sunset of the 13th day of Dhu al-Hijjah.

The Sunnah of Eid al-Adha

In keeping with the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad, Muslims are encouraged to prepare themselves for the occasion of Eid. Below is a list of things Muslims are recommended to do in preparation for the Eid al-Adha festival:
  1. Wake up early (before sunrise).
  2. Make wudu (ablution) and offer Salat al-Fajr (the pre-sunrise prayer).
  3. Prepare for personal cleanliness - take care of details of clothing, etc.
  4. Take a Ghusl (bath) after Fajr prayer.
  5. Brush teeth (preferably with a miswak, or tooth-stick).
  6. Dress up, putting on new or best clothes available (White, when available, is optimal).
  7. Apply (alcohol free) perfume (attar) (men only).
  8. It is Sunnah not to eat anything before going to Eid prayers. Contrast with Eid ul-Fitr when eating dates is recommended. The sacrifice must be done after Eid prayers to be accepted as sacrifice.
  9. Go to the prayer grounds (known as an 'Eidgah') early.
  10. Offer Salat al-Eid (the congregational Eid prayer) in an open place, weather permitting, or in mosque.
  11. Use two separate routes when traveling to and from the Eid prayer location.
  12. Recite the following Takbir which starts at Maghrib (sunset) on the 9th of Dhu al-hijah and last until the Asr on the 12th Dhu al-ilhijah: Allahu-Akbar, Allahu-Akbar, Allahu-Akbar. La ilaha illa-lah wallahu-Akbar. Allahu-Akbar wa-lillahil-hamd, which translates to: "Allah (God) is the Greatest (3 times); there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest and to Him are due all praises."

Salat al-Eid (Eid Prayer)

Salat al-Eid is a Wajib (strongly recommended, but just short of obligatory) congregational prayer. It consists of two Raka'ah (units) with six additional Takbirs. Unlike the five daily canonical prayers, no adhan (Call to Prayer) or iqama (call) is pronounced for the two Eid prayers. It must be offered in congregation. The Salaat (prayer) is then followed by the Khutbah, or sermon, by the Imam. The Khutbah is considered an integral part of the Eid prayer and so listening to it is thus considered Wajib. During the Khutbah, the Imam reminds the Muslim community about its responsibilities and obligations towards Allah, and good works, kindness, mercy and generosity towards their fellow Muslims and humanity as a whole.
At the conclusion of the prayers and sermon, the Muslims embrace and exchange greetings with one other (Eid Mubarak), give gifts (Eidi) to children, and visit one another. Many Muslims also take this opportunity to invite their non-Muslims friends, neighbours, co-workers and classmates to their Eid festivities to better acquaint them about Islam and Muslim culture.

The Takbir and Other Rituals

The Takbir is recited from the dawn of the tenth of Dhu al-Hijjah to the thirteenth, and consists of:
Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar الله أكبر الله أكبر الله أكبر
lā ilāha illā Allāh لا إله إلا الله

"(Remember) the day when We will summon every people with their Imam (guide); then whosoever is given his book in his right hand, then these shall read their book (joyfully) and they shall not be dealt with unjustly". (17:71)
 In explaining the above verse, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) said, "(On that day) everyone will be summoned with the Imam of their time, Book of their Lord and the Sunnah (tradition) of their Prophet". (Namoona)
The foremost principle of Ali, Abu Turab (as)'s life was: Having firm belief and faith in Almighty Allah (SWT).
Ali, Abu Turab (as) therefore based his entire life upon the teachings and guidance of Holy Quran. That's why Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: "Ali is with Quran and Quran is with Ali".
Ali, Abu Turab (as) said, "Ask me (anything) about the Book of Allah (Holy Quran). By Allah! There is not a single verse which was revealed during night or day, during travel or at home, but the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) read it to me and taught me its meanings..." (Amali of Shaykh al-Toosi)
Ali, Abu Turab (as) also said, "If authority is given to me and I have to act as a judge, I will judge the followers of Tawrat from Tawrat, the followers of Injeel from Injeel, the followers of Zaboor from Zaboor and followers of Furqan (Quran) from Furqan. By Allah!
There is not a single verse which has been revealed during night or day, in the field or in the mountains but that, I possess its knowledge as to where it was revealed and for whom it was revealed".
Judgement of Ali, Abu Turab (as) according to Holy Quran (Six Months Pregnancy)
After the death of Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw), the Justice of Ali, Abu Turab (as) was very popular. Even the first three Caliphs resorted to him in numerous cases.

Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: The foremost judge amongst you is Ali.
During the days of second Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab, a woman was arrested and presented before him.
People said, "O Khalifa! This woman has committed adultery. She has delivered a child after only a period of six months pregnancy".
Umar ibn al-Khattab ordered the woman to be stoned to death.
As people were taking her towards the location for punishment, she kept on pleading that she was innocent but no one would listen to her.
Finally someone informed Ali, Abu Turab (as) about the situation and he (as) came to Umar ibn al-Khattab and asked, "Why have you ordered this woman to be stoned to death?"
Umar ibn al-Khattab replied, "For adultery! She has given birth to a child after a period of six month's pregnancy and we all know the pregnancy period is of nine months".
Ali, Abu Turab (as) said, "This is not true! It is possible for a woman to give birth after six months pregnancy. This child belongs to her husband".
When asked for Quranic evidence, Ali, Abu Turab (as) said, "Allah (SWT) says at one place: "And the mothers should suckle their children for two years" (2:233) and in another place Allah (SWT) says: "And the bearing of him and the weaning of him is thirty months" (46:15) If the period of weaning which is two years (24 months) is subtracted from thirty months (which is overall period of bearing & weaning), there remains only six months.
So Umar ibn al-Khattab set the woman free and said, "If Ali had not been there, Umar would have perished."
Another Judgement of Ali, Abu Turab (as) according to Holy Quran
A case was brought before Umar ibn al-Khattab, the second Caliph. Two babies, a girl and a boy, were born on a single dark night to two wives of the same man. The father of the babies had passed away and both wives claimed to be the mother of the son.
Umar ibn al-Khattab asked, "Where is Abul Hasan, vanquisher of difficulties? "
Ali, Abu Turab (as) was called for and the case detailed to him. He called for two small vessels to be brought and had them weighed and then instructed that equal amount of milk from each mother be drawn into a vessel.
When they were weighed again, it was found that one was heavier than the other. Ali, Abu Turab (as) declared that the mother with the heavier milk was the mother of the boy and the lighter milk was that of the girl's mother.
Umar ibn al-Khattab asked how he comes to this conclusion. Ali, Abu Turab (as) replied that Allah has prescribed that, "For a male is the share of two females."
Famous Sayings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) on Ali, Abu Turab (as)
Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: "Whoever wishes to see Adam in his knowledge, Noah in his piety, Abraham in his forbearance, Moses in his strength, and Jesus in his worship and devotion should look at Ali ibn Abi Talib
Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) said the following about Ali ibn Abi Talib:
He is the first one to believe in Islam;
He is the most knowledgeable;
He is the most correct one in his DEEN;
He is the most certain; He is the most patient;
He is the most forgiving and generous;
He is the bravest in heart;
He is the IMAM and the successor after me.
Famous Sayings of Ali, Abu Turab (as) on the reality of this World
Ali, Abu Turab (as) said: "By Allah, even if I am given all the domains of the seven (skies) with all that exists under the skies in order that I may disobey Allah to the extent of snatching one grain of barley from an Ant,
I would not do it. For me, your world is lighter than the leaf in the mouth of a locust that is chewing it. What has Ali to do with bounties that will pass away and pleasures that will not last?"
At another place Ali, Abu Turab (as) said: "The world is a corpse. Whoever seeks it is a dog."
"O Ammar, grieve not if the pleasures of this world are kept away from you.
  1. Honey, the best and sweetest food, is the saliva of an insect, the bee.
  2. The nicest dress is made of silk which is the refuse of a small worm.
  3. The most refreshing scent, musk, is the blood of an animal, the deer.
  4. The best drink is water which is also used by animals to quench their thirst.
  5. The most passionate act is cohabiting in which urinative organs are used."
  6. This world is like a serpent, so soft to touch, but so full of lethal poison.
  7. Unwise people are allured by it and drawn towards it,
  8. and wise men avoid it and keep away from its poisonous effects.
When this world favors anybody it lends him qualifications, and attributes surpassing merits of others, and when it turns its face away from him it snatches away even his own excellences and fame.
"I wonder at the mentality of a miser, fearing poverty he takes to stinginess and thus hastily pushes himself headlong into a state of want and destitution, he madly desires plenty and ease, but throws it away without understanding. In this world he, of his own free will, leads the life of a beggar and in the next world he will have to submit an account like the rich.
I wonder at the arrogance of a haughty and vain person.
Yesterday he was only a drop of semen and tomorrow he will turn into a corpse.
I wonder at the man who observes the Universe created by Allah and doubts His Being and Existence.
I wonder at the man who sees people dying around him and yet he has forgotten his end.
I wonder at the man who has seen the first life (understands the marvel of genesis of creation) and denies the second life (refuses to accept that he will be brought back to life again).
I wonder at the man who takes great pains to decorate and to make comfortable this mortal habitat and totally forgets his permanent abode."
Description of man according to Ali, Abu Turab (as) : "Man is a wonderful creature; he sees through the layers of fat (eyes), hears through a bone (ears) and speaks through a lump of flesh (tongue)."
